Summer camp is
always a highlight of the year.
We believe that students really
connect with other students and
grow in their relationship with
Jesus Christ. This year our them
comes from Romans 12:2 which
says,"2Do
not conform any longer to the
pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you will be able
to test and approve what God's
will is—his good, pleasing and
perfect will."
Every year, we
look for the very best camp
speakers that
we
can find. But we believe that
this year we have. For
both Western Kids
Camp and Eastern Kids Camp, Dr.
Terry Horn will be ministering.
He has been in ministry for over
35 years as "Uncle Sam" and with
his partner JR and the capital
puppets, it is sure to be an
exciting summer. Along with
JR and the Capital puppets,
Uncle Sam is bringing
studio 7, where Jesus is the
star. Their set includes lights,
big screens, projectors and a
whole lot of crowd
participation. Terry Horn, the
new Uncle Sam, was born June 29,
1954 in Noblesville, Indiana. He
graduated from Noblesville HS
and the J.E. Light Career Center
of Radio and TV. Born-again May
15,1974, he later attended
Christ for the Nations Bible
Institute in Dallas, Texas.
Terry
is a licensed, ordained
minister, with an Honorary
Degree in Theology from Logos
Bible College in Jacksonville,
Florida. He conducts Children's
Crusades and Puppet Workshops.
Terry and Cynthia Sights were
married on July 4,1986. Dr.
Terry Horn, celebrating his
third decade of reaching
children for Jesus, preaches
with fire that comes from a
God-given burden for the lost.
He challenges kids to raise
their standards of spiritual
intensity, moral integrity and
physical purity as he ministers
to their needs through object
lessons, puppet skits,
illustrated sermons, and gospel
music children can relate to via
the use of multi-media.
Ministering the life-changing
Gospel interspersed with lots of
good clean humor, patriotism,
and ventriloquism,
featuring his big-eared,
wooden-headed sidekick JR
Believer, who begs for a laugh
at first sight. Uncle Sam's
talent has been seen by
thousands of children in
churches, public and Christian
schools, children's hospitals,
military bases and children in
urban surroundings all across
America. |
